I can’t begin to tell you the number of times that I’ve cleaned the house and thought, “I wish I could get paid for this!”  Who couldn’t use a little extra cash?  Besides I feel that I often work hard enough that I should make something off of it.  Sadly for the day to day cleaning I’m just going to have to be happy with the joy of having a nice clean home, but what would you say if you could make some money off of your spring cleaning?

If you’re anything like me than the spring cleaning bug has bit.  Now that the sun is coming out more and the flowers are coming up I’m in the mood for spring cleaning.  When I get in those moods I’m ready to gut the house of all the extra junk that we have sitting around but never use.  I honestly don’t know why we hold on to some things.  I recently found out about a site though that will take some of those things that we no longer need and pay us for them!  The site is called Music Magpie, and the service they offer is really nice.  Best of all the site is really easy to use and it’s completely FREE!

What you need to do is gather up all of the CDs, DVDs, Blue-rays, and video games that you weeded out during your spring cleaning.  Go to Music Magpie’s website and enter in the barcode on all of your items.  As soon as you enter them you will instantly get a quote for what your item is worth.  When you’ve decided what you want to send in you will get a FREE shipping label either by email or through the mail (your choice).  How many services are left that cover the cost for you to ship to them?  Then once your items have been received you will get one payment from Music Magpie for all of your items.  It’s that easy!

I think this is an amazing service.  For years we’ve sold back Jason’s old video games, but it’s a pain to drive all the way to the store to then find out that you’re getting little for it, and that never helped with our DVDs and CDs.  Those have to go into a garage sale pile, and often after the sale they go back into storage because they didn’t sell.  As soon as we can find the time Jason and I will be cleaning all of our stuff out, and we will be taking advantage of this great service.
