Hello! Welcome to Rock-A-Bye Parents!

Being a working mom isn’t easy, but it can be very rewarding. You can have the satisfaction for a days work plus the joys of motherhood all rolled into one amazing life! Still every working mom knows that getting it all done can be hard.
That’s where Rock-A-Bye Parents comes in. Whether you’re a work-at-home-mom, a mom that works outside of the home, or a combination of the two (like me) you’ll find all of the information here that you need to keep your life running smoothly. My goal is to help you not only keep your sanity, but to help make life fun and easy. Yes, it is possible!
Welcome to Rock-A-Bye Parents

Hi, I’m Elizabeth!

I’m Elizabeth, and I am a busy working mom to an amazing little guy (Nick). I started Rock-A-Bye Parents in the fall of 2011, when Nick was only five months old.  I have always been a very creative person, but once Nick was born I quickly found that I no longer had time for many of the creative outlets I used to enjoy.

The idea of blogging just sort of came to me, and the rest is history. As a language arts major I have always loved to write, so between the writing and the creative things I put together for blog posts I truly found the new creative outlet I needed.

I have worked part-time outside the home, and part-time at home, for almost all of Nick’s life. Both ways have their own rewards and challenges when it comes to be a working mom. It’s not always easy, but since becoming a single mom in 2014 I have had to learn how to focus on the important things to make it all work.

About Rock-A-Bye Parents

Besides being a busy Mommy Blogger I’m also a substitute teacher.  I graduated with my teaching degree, but there weren’t many jobs available in our area when I got done with school.  Truly it worked out for the best though because subbing gives me the flexibility I need as a single mom.

When I actually find some free time, I like to read and sew.  I also love to travel, and I especially love our Disney vacations. I actually am a past cast member myself as I did the Disney College Program in fall 2014.
