Join Purex In Supporting Make-A-Wish
Purex Laundry Detergent provided me with Purex coupons in exchange for sharing the Purex Make-A-Wish Campaign. However all the opinions expressed here are my own.
We are huge Purex fans. It’s the only detergent that we use. When Nick was born I even used their baby detergent for all of his clothes. That smell will always remind me of when he was little. Being such a big fan of Purex I couldn’t help but be excited when I found out that they are supporting my favorite charity, the Make-A-Wish Foundation!
Make-A-Wish
Make-A-Wish is one of the world’s most prominent children’s charities, and they help make wishes come true for sick children. They have granted more than 226,000 wishes since being founded in 1980, and they granted more than 14,000 in 2013. In fact they grant a wish every 38 minutes! Of course to grant so many amazing wishes they need lots of help. As of August 2013 it was found that the average wish cost $8,200. That leads to some really large bills when they’re giving almost two wishes away every hour! It’s worth every penny though.
How You can Help
To help make all of these amazing wishes come true Purex is helping support the Make-A-Wish foundation during the month of February. For every bottle of Purex laundry detergent sold from February 1 – February 28, 2014 they will donate $0.05. If more than 4 million bottles are sold they will increase the payment to $0.10 per bottle! They’re guaranteeing a minimum donation of $200,000 and a maximum donation of $300,000.
The donations don’t stop with bottles of detergent though. Purex is also going to donate $0.08 per bottle of fabric softener sold. After the first 620,000 bottles of Classic and Ultra Lines in Mountain Breeze and Sweet Lavender fabric softeners are sold from February 1 – February 28, 2014 they will up their donation to $0.10 per bottle. For the softener they are guaranteeing a minimum donation of $50,000 up to a maximum donation of $100,000.
Do you see why I’m such a fan of Purex? They have fantastic detergent, for a great price, that doesn’t bother the skin of anyone in my family. Plus they are generous. They are willing to give a large sum of money to help bring smiles to the faces of many sick children. There’s nothing like seeing pictures that show how happy the wish recipients are. Did you see Make-A-Wish turn San Fransisco into Gotham city for Bat Boy? That had to be one of the coolest, and most amazing things I have ever seen! So get out there and buy some Purex to help support Make-A-Wish!
