Meal Planner
Since I participated in Buttoned Up Bootcamp last year I have been working on meal planning.  The problem is that I’m so busy that I often find myself trying to put a plan together as I run out the door.  Part of my issues with planning was that the last thing I would have time for was printing off a meal planner to fill out, so instead I would just wing it.  Not the best plan of action, but sometimes what can you do?

Well, my friend Carrie is a busy working mom too.  Carrie is one of those people that does an amazing job at designing meal planners.  You may have seen her guest post on Rock-A-Bye Parents in September where she shared a Disney meal planner printable with all of us.  For Christmas this year Carrie decided to design a complete one year meal planner book for some of her family members.  She thought they turned out really cute, and she started to think that others might like them as well.  She asked me, and our other blogging friend Sarah, what we thought of them.  We both told her that they were amazing and that we wanted one!

Inside of Meal Planner
Not long after she started making them and selling them in her own Etsy store.  These planners are amazing!  They come designed for all different types of planners.  There are full month calendar pages so you can plan your meals for an entire month, and there are also weekly meal planner sheets.  The weekly pages have two different perforations so you can easily tear out your grocery list and your meal plan.  The planner also includes some blank pages in the back for you to write some recipes on, and on the very back page Carrie even includes a recipe of her own for you!

Meal Planner in Use
As soon as I got mine I took a picture of it and uploaded it to my Instagam account.  My followers and fans went crazy over it!  I have one friend that loved it so much that she told me she had to have one, and by the next day she had ordered one!  Once it came she told me how useful it was and she started telling all of her friends about it.  Using a meal planner is so useful and helpful.  In fact look for an upcoming blog post from me on how to use it to help you save both time and money!  For now make sure to enter the giveaway below for your chance to win your own meal planner!

I find meal planning useful because I know that the groceries I purchase will provide meals for a week for my family instead of me going to the store and buying a bunch of stuff only to get home and realize I only have a couple of meals I can make with the stuff I bought. It also helps me not buy extras because I stick to only what is on my list!

I use meal planning to keep track of my budget and of my diet. Being a diabetic, meal planning is essential to keeping my blood sugar regulated and stabilized. By planning my meals, it saves me money because I can sit down the grocery ads and find the best sales, and base an entire weeks worth of eating around it.

Meal planning is useful for me because it cuts down on extra trips to the grocery store or spending money eating out.

I find meal planning is really helpful for shopping and staying within budget. It’s also nice to not have to worry what I’m making.

I love the idea of meal planning. It gives a chance for our kids to give their input and let them get involve in what we eat. Now the kids can’t argue their way out of eating food they didn’t know was coming their way.

I find meal planning useful because I can base it around what produce is in season, what’s on sale at various grocery stores, along with any great coupons I want to use. It helps me plan for days or weeks I know will be hardest for me to cook, especially now when I’m recovering from two unsuccessful surgeries. It’s hard enough to get to the store as it is, since we live in a rural area, and I’m in chronic pain- meal planning usually means we have what we need for meals in the pantry and fridge and don’t have to make last minute, more expensive trips to the grocery store!

I like meal planning because it helps me be more prepared at the grocery store, although I don’t do it often enough!

My friend started a meal planning group on Facebook as a New Year resolution, and it’s been amazing! We post weekly meal plans on a thread, we’ve created a Pinterest board to share recipes and we check in daily about what we’re cooking for dinner. It’s helped sooo much!

Meal planning is necessary to me. I have to buy what I need for the week and know what to make way before it’s time to make it. I don’t have time with two under two to think about anything!

My Son helps me with cooking meals due to my disabilities, so this will be great to collaborate and keep each other informed.

I though I recognized Carrie’s planner in the picture! I want one! I meal plan on a bi-weekly basis, depending on store specials and farmer’s market finds.
