Project Life 365
To grow and develop we have to push ourselves to do things that we don’t normally do. One place that I would like to grow over the coming year is in my photography skills. I can certainly point the camera at a subject and take a picture, but I want more than that. I want my pictures that have style. I want pictures that are capable of showing and telling about what I was attempting to capture on film. I also want to force myself to take more pictures so that I will actually do that more. I have a habit of getting so caught up in the moment that I forget about taking a picture until it is too late.
To help me develop my photography skills I have decided to take on the Project Life 365 challenge. For this challenge you are given a topic of something to capture on film for every day of the year. Hopefully a year from now, when 2013 ends, I will have an amazing collection of photographs to look back at. If things go the way I hope I will also see a change, for the better, in my photography skills. Maybe I’ll even be able to see my progress as I look through the pictures!
To make sure I stick to my goal I am going to be sharing my pictures with all of you! Every week, most likely on Saturday, I will be uploading the previous weeks pictures to an album on the Facebook fan page. I also will start participating in Wordless Wednesdays, so every Wednesday my blog post for the day will be of my favorite photograph from that week.
I am very excited about this new endeavor. If anyone else is participating in Project Life 365 (or one like it) let me know. I would love to follow other people’s journeys as they capture their year on film.

I love this idea. I need to try and do something like this. It would help me take better pictures for sure.
I’m hoping it will help me. I think eventually I’m going to have to invest in a new camera if I really want to see an improvement though.
Hey Elizabeth,
This is a great idea. I got a camera for Christmas in hopes that I can do better with my photography. I can’t even get a simple camera phone pic to come out right 😉
Thanks for the follow(s) from Mom Bloggers Club. I’m not returning all. Happy New Year!

Good photography really takes a lot of work, and yet as bloggers it’s such an important thing for us to do. Have fun with your new toy!
Sounds like a really great idea – good luck!
Thank you Sharon! I hope I can stick with it!
I love this idea! I’ll check it out and maybe I’ll join you…as long as I can use my phone camera! LOL
Let me know if you do Sarah so I can follow along!
