Tickety Toc Bubble Time App

Nick loves to play games on the tablet, but just as it is with toys the newness of a game wares off and it isn’t as exciting any more.  Needless to say I feel like I’m getting Nick a new game every month or so.  Not that he still doesn’t enjoy the other games that he has, but the enjoyment of them fades in and out.  When I was asked to review the Tickety Toc Bubble Time app I wasn’t sure what Nick would think about it.  He had never had exposure to Tickety Toc characters before, but he was in need of a new game, and it looked pretty cute, so I thought, “Why not?”

In the end I was very glad that I choose to review the Tickety Toc Bubble Time app because Nick loved it.  The app is about blowing bubbles and there is a train.  Two things that Nick loves.  It was right up his alley!

Like the other Cupcake Digital apps the main focus of the app is an interactive story.  In the story the main characters, Tommy and Tallulah blow a gigantic unpopable bubble that people are getting stuck in.  It’s up to them to figure out a way to pop it and free everyone.  Nick thinks the story is hysterical.  He has spent a lot of time giggling over it.   In fact just last night I hear a lot of laughter from the living room while I was getting his ready.  I came out and sure enough he was playing this game.

Besides the story there are some extra learning games and activities as well as a coloring section.  Nick really likes both, but he especially likes the train game.  In the game you have to choose train tracks that will connect the starting spot to the end.  The thing is that while Nick can move the pieces the designing of the track is still a little difficult for him, so he makes me do it.  Of course he’s sneaky about it and instead of asking for help he says, “Mommy’s turn,” indicating that it’s my turn to play.  My little manipulator!  They really learn that one fast don’t they?

I really like the Tickety Toc Bubble Time app.  It is very toddler friendly.  When Nick saw there was a new game on the tablet he opened it up and started playing without any help.  He has never been frustrated by it either.  It’s a cute little game that I think all toddlers would enjoy.
