Letters To My Son – March 2015

Dear Nick,
Woohoo! It’s March! We have made it through the two longest months of the year. Yes, I realize that on the calendar February is actually the shortest month of the year, but it never feels that way. This past February was awful because we got a lot of snow and extreme cold temperatures. In fact it went down as the second coldest February on record, beat only by a February in the 1800’s! Luckily next week is looking to be quite nice (we might even hit 50!) although the month came in like a lion.
I said last month that I had been bad at taking pictures, but this month I was even worse! The last few days of the month it was all I could even do to remember to take pictures to use in this letter! The trouble was that it was so cold all month that we didn’t do anything. Plus, due to the cold, you begged to stay in your jammies on days we didn’t go anywhere. I guess I don’t jump to use the camera for jammy pictures.

You have really gotten back into trains over the last few weeks. Chuggington has taken over my living room! You also are starting to play by yourself better again. You used to be so good at that, but for about the last year you had a hard time with it. I must say it helps when you can go play by yourself, although it usually ends in a huge mess! You are getting better about cleaning up your toys though.
Well, that really is about it for February! Let’s hope that March is a nicer month, and hopefully I’ll do better at taking pictures!
Love,
Mommy
