Craftsy Free Cake Class

Are you a crafty person?  Do you like to design or create?  Ever wanted to take a class to learn more about a craft, but didn’t feel that you could leave the house?  Then you need to try Craftsy!

What is Craftsy?

Craftsy is a worldwide craft community that offers online classes. No more worrying about finding time to escape the house, or for that matter a babysitter!  It also has a patterns marketplace where independent designers can sell their patterns; a supplies shop where you can find great deals on yarn, fabric, and class kits; plus a projects section where members can share pictures of their latest craft successes. With over two million members and counting, Craftsy has something for just about everyone, in categories ranging from quilting, sewing, knitting, painting, photography, cooking, and more.

Why Should I take a Crafting Class Online?

Online education is no longer just for schools and universities.  Craftsy courses provide you the convenience of having a world-class instructor in your home, whenever the time is convenient for you.  We’re all very busy.  Sometimes our only free time is late at night when the kids are asleep.  With online education you can learn on your schedule.

With many online learning opportunities being on-demand, you are able to learn at your own pace, anytime.  For busy working parents with crazy schedules online learning is a fantastic alternative to those in-store craft classes.  They also allow you the ability to watch a section that is giving you trouble over-and-over again, so you can see exactly how a technique is carried out, or refer back to your class for relevant concepts before beginning any new projects.

How Much Does it Cost?

The classes range in prices.  Most of them are in the $30-50 range, but if you’re not sure if you’ll like online craft classes then you can test the waters by signing up for FREE Craftsy Classes!  There are a number of free classes that are offered, so you need to go check them out.  Just click here to be taken to the Craftsy site to check out all that they have to offer and to sign up for your free class.

    1. I honestly don’t know how people find the time to attend an actual class. Between naps, and school, and sports, and the parent’s schedule family life can just be nuts!

    1. I hear ya. I always seem to have a ton of projects going at one time. I’ve been trying to get Nick’s Christmas stocking done since he was an infant. If I don’t get it done he’ll have to have a Babies 1st Christmas stocking for his third Christmas!

  1. I’ve been meaning to check this out for a long time now and I keep forgetting. I’d love to take some classes to help with photography…thanks for sharing!
