For the semester that I lived in Florida the thing I missed the most about living in Michigan was Meijer. I love that store! I love that when I go in there I can get
everything I need in one trip. Some other stores are trying to become like that, but none of them have been able to hit the perfect one stop shop with great prices that Meijer has. Having the amazing food selection that they do it was no surprise to me that I was easily able to find the new Birds Eye® Steamfresh Vegetables there.
My family recently had a big family picnic. I was put in charge of bringing a vegetable. I wanted to make something that would be fun for a picnic. I had recently seen an ad sign at my local Meijer for the new Birds Eye® Steamfresh Vegetables which gave me an idea for a fun way to change up a family favorite recipe (look for a blog post with the recipe next week!). I knew that I could easily pick the veggies up on my regular shopping trip to Meijer.
The Birds Eye® Steamfresh Vegetables were easy to find in the frozen vegetable section. There are 4 new flavors, so they take up a decent amount of space on the shelves. The new flavors in the easy steam bags are…
- Barbecue Sweet Corn (That’s what I bought.)
- Ranch Broccoli (This is what I want to try next. Yum!)
- Teriyaki Broccoli
- Buffalo Cauliflower
After grabbing all of the other grocery items that were on my list we headed up to the front to check out. Of course the first thing I did when it was our turn at the register was to input my
mPerks info. The coupons from it are great, but I really love earning the spending rewards!
Of course you can’t end a Meijer trip without a ride on Sandy the penny horse. It still amazes me that it still only costs a penny to ride. Nothing else is only a penny now days. I always find it so touching when I take Nick to ride her and we find a bunch of pennies resting somewhere on her to help kids get a chance to ride. It’s the little things in life sometimes, and that one penny can make a kid so happy.
