Nick received his Sleep Sheep as a birth present from his Aunt Heather. I kind of knew what it was because I had seen it before in my baby magazines, but I didn’t know a lot about it. By the time we left the hospital we had decided that it was the best gift ever and that it was a must have baby item.
On our second day at the hospital Nick was fussy. Being new, and completely sleep deprived parents, Jason and I were starting to run out of ideas of how to calm him. That’s when we thought of the Sleep Sheep that Aunt Heather had brought the day before. Jason got it out put it in the corner of Nick’s crib, and turned it on. Immediately Nick calmed down. We were truly amazed, and this wonderful phenomenon happened over and over again. Six months later we still turn Nick’s Sleep Sheep on when we put him down to sleep. I honestly don’t know what we would have done without it.
There are two different Sleep Sheep, the regular one and a travel one. The one that this review is for, and the one pictured in these pictures, is for the travel one. I personally find the travel one better because the regular one does not allow you to choose different play lengths. The regular one automatically turns off after 23 minutes. Plus the sounds are a tad different and the regular one does not contain the one that works best for my son (stream).
