Who doesn’t love to receive flowers or a plant?  I remember being in high school and seeing girls receive flowers and getting to carry them around.  You can imagine my excitement on my birthday during my senior year when the kids I tutored for gave me a bouquet of flowers.  I loved having them with me as I went from class to class.  They made me feel so special.  I don’t often get flowers now days.  Jason will surprise me with them every once in awhile, but we both know that in our home they’re not very practical since we have to put them up somewhere really high so the cats don’t eat them.  I always feel special and loved when I get some though, and the fact that they don’t come as often makes them that much more special.  Those special feelings are so wonderful, and with ProFlowers you can help other people get that special feeling.

I ended up choosing a Lucky Bamboo plant.  I had a bamboo plant years ago and I had loved it.  It was so easy to take care of and it even had been growing new stalks.  I was so proud of it.  When you don’t have a green thumb anything that lives, and grows, is very exciting.  Sadly when my cats were very young they knocked over the stand that my bamboo sat on.  It was a huge mess and the container had broken into pieces.  Without anything to put it back into I had just had to throw it away, but I have been wanting another bamboo plant to replace it for years.

I love that with ProFlowers that you can choose when to have them delivered.  We’re not home many days of the week, so I didn’t want to worry about my plant being left outside in the cold.  The bamboo came well packed which meant it in need of assembling.  This was very easy, and there were step by step instructions that told you exactly how to do it.  Even my black thumb could handle it.

We’ve had our Lucky Bamboo for a week now, and it still looks as good as it did when I first set it up.  I guess I did well putting it together if it still looks good.  I think at this point I can keep it growing.  I can’t wait to see how big it gets!
