Blurb Mobile: Make A Halloween Photo Book With Your Phone
I have to admit that until August I didn’t have a smartphone. They seemed cool, but I didn’t think that they were worth the cost. Then I got deeper into blogging and I realized that I really needed to be connected to the internet at most times. Sad I suppose, but it’s just the life of a blogger. In August I took the leap and got an iPhone, and now I don’t know how I got by without it. I love that thing. One thing I love is that I now have a camera with me wherever I go. Of course that means that I now have a ton of pictures stored on my phone. I know I’m not the only one with that problem, and Blurb knows it too. To make things easier for all of us smartphone addicted people they have created a mobile app that will allow you to create a photo book right from your phone, and it’s here just in time for Halloween.
If you’re like a lot of parents than I’m sure that you’ll be taking quite a few pictures this Halloween of your little ones. There’s nothing like catching the special moments of pumpkin carving and trick-or-treating fun. Of course you won’t want to keep those photos to your phone. You’re going to want to share them and find a way to preserve them for forever. That’s where Blurb mobile comes in.
Blurb mobile is an app for the iPhone and the iPad that lets you create sharable online stories that you can then turn into beautiful 7×7 inch books. What do I mean by a story exactly? Well, in the Blurb mobile world, it’s a sequence of photos, as well as other media, that you capture on your phone. You can tell a very literal story with it, meaning it has a beginning, middle, and end, or it can simply be a fun collection of photos. To make it work all you have to do is just take photos and video with the app, or you can import them from your camera roll (including those saved Instagram photos on your phone). You can even add captions, or you can record your little ones saying “trick or treat” and then you can attach the audio track to your photo.
Whether your family leans toward a scary, cute, or some fun combination of the two this Halloween you can now share your stories from Halloween night on your favorite social media sites with Blurb mobile. And then in a few weeks, get a beautifully bound photo book that you can look at for many Halloweens to come. Blurb’s Small Square books start at $12.99 for a 20-page softcover, and shipping is just $3.99.
