Celebrate All Of The Special Moments

Sharing is caring!

Playing with a Balloon

I can’t believe Nick is almost two and a half.  Where does time go?  Yet, I look at him playing and running around and it’s almost a shock to the system when I realize that a year ago he had only been crawling for about a month, and he wasn’t walking at all!  It all just goes by so fast.  One minute you’re dreaming of a full nights sleep then you’re getting it and wishing you could have those snugly late night feedings back.  That is until they’re sick and you’re up all night with them again and you remember why you wanted that stage to pass!

Do you ever wish that life had a pause button so you could keep living certain times over and over?  I know I do.  It wouldn’t have to be just for the big moments either.  I’d love to keep reliving the little ones as well.  Like a moment we had over the weekend.  Nick was trying to put his blankie back in his crib.  He was having a hard time with it, so then he just started being silly.  By the time it was over we were both practically rolling on the floor we were laughing so hard.  I just love Nick’s laugh.  I wish I could bottle the sound up so I could listen to it years from now.

I know I’m not the only one that feels this way.  In fact I bet you have at some time too.  Gymboree understands how we feel, and they would like all of us to join them in celebrating and sharing those precious moments from childhood.  They have created an amazing new video called “Today We’ve got to Play!” to kick off their new campaign, and I’m very excited to be able to share it with you.  After you’ve watched it leave me a comment telling me about one of your favorite and cherished memories with your child.

  1. Mine are 9 and 4 … and as much as I’d love to have another, I like that I don’t have to get up in the middle of the night. I am DEFINITELY cherishing each moment, though! Before you know it I’ll have DRIVERS! And then they’ll be off to college. I am not ready for that.
