I participated in the Microsoft Office 365 campaign on behalf of One2One Network. All opinions stated are my own.
I love being a blogger. There’s nothing like being able to do something you love and know that others find value in it. The downside is that I’m almost always working. My phone is always on me and it’s not crazy to see me on the computer with my tablet and phone out as well. Needless to say I need my business to be portable. No matter where I am, or what devices I’m using, I need to have access to all of the same documents and programs. That’s why I was so excited when I was asked to review Microsoft Office 365.
I know that my work situation sounds a bit over the top, but to be honest I’m not alone. We have come to a point where the traditional 9 to 5 hours have blurred. People today are reaching for all types of technology to help them get things done and to find a balance. Whether at home, in the office, or on the go, people everywhere are working differently than they have in the past. Part of the reason for this is that people want more flexibility in their work schedules. In fact a recent online study conducted by Harris Interactive on behalf of Microsoft found that 53% of workers would be winning to work more hours, and 1 in 5 would be willing to take a pay cut, if it meant more flexibility in their work schedule.
What is Microsoft Office 365?
Microsoft sees how thing shave changed and they want to help all of us #GetItDone. Microsoft Office 365 is the best Office software yet. It is the Office software you’re used to, but now it packs a bigger punch. You can now take your documents wherever you go by saving them in the cloud on SkyDrive and then opening and using them on your mobile devices. It’s now easy to share documents with others no matter where you are working.
Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium includes the most updated Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access). One license allows you to use it on up to 5 different computers as well as 5 mobile devices. It comes with 20GB of SkyDrive cloud storage as well as 60 free Skype world calling minutes per month. All future updates are included.
How do I use Office 365?
I don’t know about you, but I can’t live without Microsoft Office. Especially not Excel and Word. A lot of my blogging information is saved to spreadsheets. I keep track of my stats, the income I’ve made, as well as tons of other information that I need. I use them both a lot for every day life things as well though. Have you ever gone on vacation and forgotten something important. Like, oh I don’t know, your tickets into Walt Disney World? Yep I totally did that on one trip. I’m so go, go, go that my mind can be all over the place and I forget important things. To help prevent this problem when it comes to vacation packing I have created a spreadsheet that contains a list on any items that we might need for vacation. This way I don’t have to rethink it every time. Having the list is great, but the spreadsheet was so big that it always printed off with tiny font, so you could hardly read it. Now I can open my spreadsheet up on my phone and carry it around with me. I can even add items and mark packed things off right from my phone! Even better Jason can be looking at the document at the same time I am so he can make sure he’s got everything. Plus we can both see each others marks and changes. It’s brilliant!
