Gymboree Spring 2013 Line
According to the calendar Spring is only days away. Now the large amount of snow that was just dumped on the Midwest (which luckily stayed South of us) says otherwise. The annual flowers starting to come up in front of my bedroom window agree though. Whether or not it feels like spring it is still time to start shopping for new spring clothes. Gymboree has already released their spring line as well as their holiday spring clothes line for 2013, and I must say that the choices are adorable!
If you’ve read many of my blog posts than you know that Nick is a string bean. At his last doctor visit he was 5% in weight and 47% in height. Buying clothes for him can be very difficult, but I always have amazing luck with Gymboree clothes. They just fit him so well. I also love that you can buy their clothes in separates. It makes it fun to mix and match plus it allows me to get Nick a shirt that is a size bigger than his pants.
I went shopping a few weeks ago for some new clothes from Gymboree. I actually had a hard time deciding what to get him because their are so many cute choices. Nick is also at an in-between size. He’s at just the right size for the 18-24 month clothes (the largest size in the newborn baby line), and yet he’s a little small for the 2Ts in the baby boy size. I ended up getting outfits from both lines. I figure that way I have spring /early summer and late summer covered with both. I have to give a big shout out to the wonderful staff at our Gymboree store. The store was out of some of the clothes in Nick’s size. The staff did all of the legwork for me seeing if they could order it for me in Nick’s size, and they had it shipped to my house for free! I really wanted to get him some clothes from the Hoppy Frog collection, but sadly both the store and the online system were out of Nick’s size. I still got a lot of other cute outfits for Nick though.
I first had to get Nick an outfit from the Little Peanut collection. It was so cute! I love to get Nick rompers, but at one point I thought we might be potty training this summer, so I hadn’t bought any. Well, I don’t see that happening in the near, or somewhat farther, away future, so I got him his first romper for the summer!
One of the things I love about the spring line is that it works no matter what climate you live in. You can get shirts where you can choose to make them long or short sleeved, and you can get pants that can be rolled up into shorts. Those are also great for those days that start off cold an then get warm.
I wasn’t sure how long Nick would wear 18-24 months (you just never know when they’ll shoot up), so I decided to choose some outfits from the baby boy line. I loved the choices for the Baseball Champ collection. Can you beat a shirt with a puppy playing with a baseball? I didn’t think so. I got it in two different styles!
Now it just needs to warm up so Nick can wear all of his cute new clothes!

I haven’t been to Gymboree much but this new line sure does look cute!
