I love to be organized. That doesn’t mean it always happens, but that is what I strive for. I think it’s especially important to be organized on vacation. There is so much to pack and it is the biggest pain when you know you packed something but you don’t know where you put it. To try to prevent that I try to break items into groups and I put those groups into a separate bag. One of those groups is my jewelry. I have a bag that I throw all of my jewelry into. This means that it’s all together, but it always ends up in a big mess.
I recently was given the chance to order a free jewelry item from Red Envelope to review. There were so many beautiful jewelry items to choose from, but I kept returning to a leather jewelry roll. It seemed like a great solution to my jewelry mess that I end up with when we travel. I mentioned it to my mother and she told me that she had received one as a gift a few years ago and loved it. That testimonial was exactly what I needed to make up my mind.
I choose to go with the blue leather because it looked so pretty. You can also get it monogrammed, but I felt that wasn’t necessary since I was getting it for myself. When it arrived I noticed that the leather seemed very soft. The card that came with it said that the leather would actually get even softer with age. The inside lining is microsuede which will help protect the jewelry from tarnishing.
The jewelry roll can hold five pairs of earrings and it has two spots that will hold a number of rings. It also has two zippered pockets. A smaller one where I plan to put my bracelets and a larger one for necklaces. On our most recent trip I figured out that I could put each necklace in its own snack size baggie and that kept them from getting all tangled and knotted. I was very happy to see that the large pocket should easily be able to hold the baggies.
I haven’t had a chance to actually try it out yet since we don’t have any plans for another vacation until this fall. I can’t wait to use it though!
