Happy New Year Monkey! It’s hard to believe that another year has come and gone. I knew that when we had kids time would speed up, and I wasn’t wrong. This is the time of year that I wish I could make go a bit faster though. I am not a fan of cold, and cold it has been. December was far colder than normal (except for one day when it was pretty warm), and January is looking to be even worse.
December was such a busy month. It was full of parties, funerals, and holiday celebrations. It was far from fun and games though because, like normal, you were really sick. It caused you to have hysteric fits and get sick. It was bad! On Christmas Eve afternoon I drove you around just to get you to take a nap, and you got hysterical when I tried to take you out of your car seat. By that point you weren’t sleeping well and were hardly eating, so on the 26th I took you to in to see the doctor. You were so good while we were there, but it was pretty obvious that you were quite sick, so the doctor did give you antibiotics. You were so sick that it took pretty much the entire dose for you to start returning to normal, but you are on the mend now.
As rough as the month was I am sad to see it end. I love the month of December (although not the weather that goes with it). There is so much fun and exciting stuff going on. Christmas was so much fun this year because it was the first time that you started to get the idea of Santa. Of course this Santa needed a helper because when I went to build your toy I found that we needed batteries for it and we didn’t have enough, so Daddy stopped by a gas station on his way home from work to get the batteries. You loved a lot of gifts that you got for Christmas this year. Especially your Chuggington train set!
You’re really into watching Chuggington and Cars right now, but you are obsessed with Planes. You want to watch it all the time and you repeat about half of the movie as it happens and in the same tone too. It’s so cute. You also love your plane toys and they go every where with you. You even have to take them to bed! I must say I’m very glad that Disney has made a lot more boy themed movies in the last few years.
Who knows what this month will bring. Well, we do know it’s going to bring extremely cold temperatures. I for one can’t wait until spring and Nana is already counting down the days until March! Let’s hope this month goes by fast.
