Meal Plan Monday #14

Last week the new recipe that I made to review was Slow Cooker Sesame Chicken. Oh my gosh this was so good! I even had to have mine without sesame seeds because I couldn’t find any at my grocery store. The flavor was spot on with the Sesame Chicken that I have had at Chinese restaurants. I did modify the recipe just a little and didn’t add the garlic (it makes me really sick), but to me the flavor was perfect. I keep seeing the leftovers in the refrigerator and all I want to do is eat them. This recipe was that good. This will for sure be going on my regular rotation list! This is also a great single mom recipe. It didn’t take long to prep, and of course nothing is easier than slow cooker recipes. I even ended up making real rice (not the instant stuff) and it was a snap. I just cooked it while I shredded the chicken and cooked the sauce. Of course the chicken is still good if you kids won’t eat it with rice. The honey makes it really sweet, and if the seeds bother them I’m here to say that you can easily leave them out.
