Meal Plan Monday #9

With the unofficial start of summer here I got the itch to start eating summer foods this week. Luckily Mother Nature is actually starting to recognize the time of year because the weather is going right along with it making it the perfect week for lots of yummy summer salads. I need to spend some time on Pinterest finding some more good summer food recipes though. I’m totally over the winter food that I’ve been eating for months. It’s time for a change! Usually we grill a lot in the summer and while the grill is still here with me at the house I’m not up for using it. I totally admit that a real grill scares me. I can use my George Foreman one, but I’ve never really grilled more than a hot dog or a grilled cheese on it. I suppose it’s time to get a bit more adventurous, but I think for now finding more yummy summer recipes that I can cook myself would be easier. Nick and I have gone through so many changes over the last few months, and there is only so much that I can handle at a time.
Meal Plan – Week of May 26, 2014
Monday – Tonight we’re having a Memorial Day BBQ at my aunt and uncle’s home with the whole family.
Tuesday -Leftover Grands Pizzas – Yes we still have more to finish! These pizzas can go a long way when only one adult and a tiny toddler are eating them! I’ll admit that they’re at their best fresh out of the oven, but they’re OK heated up and you can sure get them on the table that way fast.
Wednesday – Party Veggie Pizza
Thursday – Autumn Chopped Salad and Grands
Friday – BLT Salad (Chicken Nuggets for Nick with Applesauce Salad)
Saturday – Origami Owl Debut Jewelry Bar Day! I’m hosting my debut jewelry party this day, so I’ll be nibbling all afternoon. Not sure I’ll have dinner at all, but if I do it will probably be something like a bowl of cereal.
Sunday – Popcorn Shrimp, Baked Sweet Potato, and Applesauce Salad
