Nick And Oliver Time

If you read my post a few weeks ago about Nick having to feed our cat Oliver his kitty treat, than you’ll probably remember me telling about just how much he loves that cat.  Luckily for Nick the feeling is mutual.  Nick has been all about loving Oliver this week.  He gets crazy excited when he sees Oliver, and he’s constantly petting him.  I must say Nick has gotten really good with handling Oliver.  Whenever he pets Oliver he always lightly runs his hand along Oliver’s back.  I must say I’m very impressed with his gentleness.  That leads me to this weeks story.

I’ve been crazy busy working on the blog this week, and I’ve been very happy to let Nick do whatever he wants as long as it keeps him busy and entertained.  Well the other day he wanted to play with items in my desk.  He kept having me open different drawers and then he would find different items in them to play with, so when he wanted me to open the top left drawer I didn’t think much of it.  He was happy, so I was happy.

While I was working I realized that Nick was talking a lot.  Nothing coherent, just a bunch of babble really, but there was a lot of it.  The noise was coming from over by the stairs, so I quietly walked over there to see what he was doing.  What I found was beyond cute!  Nick had taken the cat brush from the drawer, and he was brushing Oliver.  The babbling I had heard was him talking to Oliver.  Oliver seemed to be on Cloud 9.  He was purring and rolling all over so Nick could reach different spots.  The two of them were just as happy as happy could be.  The whole situation was so cute and sweet that I had to get a picture!  Luckily I was able to do it without disturbing either of them.
