Carrom Board: Reconnect With Game Time #UnPlugwithCarrom

I would like to extend my gratitude to Carrom for sponsoring this post
There is something wonderful about game time with the family. It doesn’t matter what age your kids are, or if you even have any kids at all. It’s simply fun to pull out a game and start playing. Nick is at the age where he’s just starting to get into games, and it’s so cute. He doesn’t really get the part about rules. He likes to just play games the way he wants, and we’re all fine with that. That’s one of the times when it’s easy to have only one. An older sibling would get annoyed that he’s not playing the game right (I know I would have been), but we adults just think it’s too cute.
I recently received a Carrom Board to review. When Nick saw the box he couldn’t wait to open it. He’s also at the age when any package is the most exciting thing that ever existed. Of course I didn’t make him wait very long. He thought that the Carrom Board was so neat, and he wanted to play with it right away. He didn’t even give us times to open the instruction booklet to see how to play any of the games. He just grabbed the pieces and went to town. He had the absolute best time playing with it. In fact playing with it kept him entertained for a few days. Now what mom doesn’t like that?
The Carrom Board itself is really nice, and you can tell it’s really well made. It’s very sturdy and well put together. My mom was with us when we opened it and she even remarked on the quality. As she put it the board is so well made that it could easily last a family for generations. Of course you can expect no less from not only a company that’s based in the U.S. but one that’s based in Michigan. Hey, I’ve got to give my state it’s props.

I have to admit that before doing this review I had never heard of a Carrom Board. I can’t say the same for my grandfather though. He came over for dinner while we still had the board set-up. He took one look at it and went, “Oh, a Carrom Board!” Well, if that didn’t blow my mind. I had not realized how long people had been playing with these boards. That’s what makes this game board so great. It spans generations to bring them together.

My sister and I used to play with the Carrom Board for hours at a time. Ah…great memories!

I’ve never heard of it…but sounds super fun! We love playing games at puzzles after bathtime every night!
Glad I’m not the only one that hadn’t heard of it! Considering it was a Michigan company I felt like I should have known of it. The same way you should know how to play Uker. 😉
