Make The Holidays Easier With Pampers And CVS {Giveaway}

Sharing is caring!

Pampers and CVS

I love the holidays, but sometimes I get overwhelmed by everything that is going on.  The first few weeks are full of parties and last minute shopping and preparations.  Then, as like right now, the holidays arrive out of nowhere and the craziness really starts.  This year we’re doing Christmas with Jason’s family on Sunday, Monday is our anniversary, Tuesday is Christmas Eve, and then Wednesday is Christmas Day and that is an entire day of gift opening and family time.  That much activity is exhausting for us, but it’s especially wearing for a little one.  No Christmas will probably ever be as exhausting and wearing as Nick’s first Christmas though, and we would never have made it though without Pampers and CVS!

As is now a tradition for Nick he got a bad cold around Halloween.  That one just wouldn’t go away.  It turned into a sinus infection and got really bad just before Christmas.  I ended up spending my anniversary taking Nick to the doctor.  He was so bad by then that he wouldn’t eat or drink anything.  They gave us a prescription for amoxicillin, so off to CVS we went.  He showed immediate improvement, and then he started having an allergic reaction.  I called the doctor in a panic.  His entire eye area was hot and beat read (he looked like a raccoon).  The reaction was far from normal one, but they said to stop the meds and they called in a different prescription.  So back to the pharmacy we went.  By the time Jason got home from work I wanted to fall over from exhaustion!  Happy anniversary honey!

Poor Nick By Christmas Eve, and especially Christmas Day, Nick’s sinus infection was much improved.  The problem was that the medicine didn’t really agree with his stomach.  I don’t want to gross anyone out, so let’s just say we had some extremely messy diaper situations on Christmas Day.  Not what you want when you’re away from home with only so many diapers! Many CVS stores are open on the holidays though (a big help for Jason one Thanksgiving when he needed some allergy medication), so you can always run out and grab those must have items like more Pampers diapers!

I love shopping at CVS.  Have you paid attention to some of the deals that you can get there?  I stock up on Pampers diapers when they have a great sale.  I have to buy multiple packs at a time, but I end up getting a great price on each pack of diapers.  It’s a great place to take Nick shopping too.  I don’t know if ALL CVS stores have them, but all of the ones we shop at have these really cute car shopping carts…

Car Cart

Nick at that age where he doesn’t want to ride in a cart, but letting him walk around doesn’t work either.  He’s always happy to ride in the car cart though, so shopping at CVS is never a problem.

Pampers at CVS

I also love that CVS carries a good selection of Pampers products.  We were given Pampers Swaddlers in the hospital when Nick was born, and we have been big fans ever since!  I actually liked the Swaddlers so much that I was sad when we had to move to the Baby Dry ones, but now the Swaddlers go up to size 5 instead of stopping at size 2!  The Baby Dry diapers have been great though.  Let me tell you that when they say they’re good for up to 12 hours they’re right.  Since Nick has given up naps our routine is messed up and we keep forgetting to change his diaper (insert blush here!).  Those diapers do a great job of holding it all in.  We’re just about to start potty training though, so I’m going to have to start buying the Easy Ups.  Pampers really has us covered for every stage.

As a little extra Christmas gift I am holding a giveaway for one lucky reader to win a free pack of Pampers diapers and a free pack of Pampers wipes.  I will send the winner a coupon for each item, and the winner can then redeem them at CVS.  The giveaway is open to U.S. residents only.  Good luck!

  1. Surviving the holidays with a little one involves taking time for yourself and trying to relax, not stress out to much!

  2. Plan on quiet nap times in between the activities when you are deciding what to do. People understand that babies need their naps.

  3. If you have a toddler who is moving about maybe you should save putting those decorations that you just couldn’t bare to have break for a year or two from now. Also try to keep their routine as normal as possible. If you travel out of your normal time zone still keep their naps on your time zone’s schedule if you can. If in their daily life they are not use to being around a lot of people but your family gathering will be large then make sure to carve out quiet time or provide a space where they can get away to if they become overwhelmed.

  4. No matter what, it is important to keep them on their regular schedule. I t is extremely hard to do during the holidays, but so rewarding if you can do it!

  5. Definitely extra clothes and baby bag accessories. I always brought bubbles and snacks, play phone, and a couple small books. My youngest loves it. My older two loved it when they were younger too.

  6. Last year, we hosted our families at our house, so we didn’t have to travel. I just allowed others to help cook, etc.

  7. I know this isn’t the question, but I put the baby in fancy free and clear diapers for a say. I could cry. Pampers is so good at preventing rash ( which he has after a day on the others) and not leaking.

  8. put glass ornaments on higher branches lol

no ok really have activities little ones can do while you are buzy doing preparations
