Nick’s First Vacation: Getting Ready To Go (Part 2)

Tuesday

My original plans for Tuesday had been to run errands during the morning, but my grandfather wanted to come put up a closet door that he had been putting together for us (when we bought our house it had a lot of door issues).  I figured it wasn’t a big deal to postpone the errands for a day because I still had a lot of cleaning to do.

Once again Nick woke-up at a decent time.  Luckily this time I was already dressed and ready to go before he got up though.  Vacuuming really scares him, so getting his room and the upstairs done can be very difficult, so as soon as I got him dressed and settled in front of Disney Junior I ran upstairs to vacuum.  Right after he wakes up, and when he’s watching his shows, is the only time of day when I know he’ll stay where he’s put.

With the vacuuming task done I headed into the kitchen to make us breakfast.  We hadn’t been done eating for long when my grandparents arrived.  Nick was excited to see them, but it was one of those days when Jake and the Neverland Pirates was more exciting.  Once his show was done though I turned the T.V. off and Nick started playing with his toys.

After my grandparents left I took Nick upstairs to play while I started dusting.  Before long though it was lunch time, so we headed back downstairs for food.  Then we went back upstairs where I finished dusting.  Once I was done Nick still didn’t want a nap though, so I pulled out his suitcase and got a lot of his clothes packed.  With the packing started it made vacation feel so much closer, and I was really getting excited!

Once Nick went down for his nap I went downstairs to focus on finishing the cleaning.  I managed to get all of the vacuuming done, and the dusting started before Nick woke up.  He had taken another really long nap which was lucky for me.  I just was having a hard time getting all of the cleaning done.  Once again after dinner, and after Nick went to bed, I continued cleaning.  I was able to get it done before I went to bed though.  I was happy that I got all of the cleaning done, but I knew that I still had a ton to do on Wednesday.
