Silly Saturday – This Kid Is So Loud
It’s time for the second installment of Silly Saturday. The posts where I tell about silly things that Nick did during the week. This post is part of a link up with other moms over at The Mommyhood Chronicles.
Does anyone else have a loud toddler? I don’t mean being loud by screaming or throwing a fit. I don’t even mean when they cry and get upset. Maybe I should change my term. OK, raise your hand if you have a squealer. Yep, that’s Nick. My tiny little boy that squeals and laughs very loudly. Luckily it’s beyond cute.
Of course you all now know that we spent Saturday afternoon at Best Buy dealing with my tablet situation. The whole situation took a long time, so it became a bit of work to keep Nick entertained. Mom kept him happy at first, but then he wanted Mommy, so Mom waited in the long customer service line while I spent time with Nick. We ended up back in the tablet section. Nick already knows how to work touch screen technology, so he was having lots of fun. We ended up playing with an Amazon Kindle Fire. The store models had some demo apps loaded onto them that you could test out. This Kindle had a kids game called Monkey Preschool Lunchbox. Nick Loved it! He was laughing and squealing every time the monkey jumped around (which was often). He was so loud that I was honestly shocked that my mother hadn’t heard him all the way up at the front of the store. Every time he got loud people would look over, but it’s so cute that all I ever see are smiling and laughing faces, and every once in awhile a startled one. After playing for awhile an older couple was near us and I thought they wanted to look at the tablet so I told Nick we need to let them have a turn. They said we didn’t need to leave. They were just having fun watching Nick!
I know Nick’s squealing laugh will be one of those things I’ll never forget. He does it at the supermarket when he watches the fish (oh the laughing looks I get there!). He does it when he watches Bolt running (his favorite movie), or any time Chip and Dale come on the screen. The other night he even did it through an entire episode of Phineas and Ferb. When I was trying to decide what we should do before his day care Christmas party I briefly thought of going to the library, but then I realized this kid is too loud right now for a library! I love watching Nick get excited. It always puts a smile on my face.

Kids laughter is the absolute best! I have never heard of Monkey School Lunchbox, but now I am so getting it! I love that he gets excited about all the stuff that us moms just think is everyday regular tv watching, etc. He is just darling!
It’s a great app. Nick can’t get enough of it. The only problem is now he constantly wants my tablet!
I love those kinds of laughs, they just make you feel good.
They really do :-).
He’s adorable!
Thank you :-).
Laughter is the best!!
Always!
Do a video the next time! They don’t squeal so excitedly and naturally after a while!
I know I need to. The problem is that you can never be sure when he’ll do it, so it’s hard to catch.
My son LOVES Monkey Preschool Lunchbox! &I know the squeal- my son has recently outgrown it for the most part, which makes me sad, but it totally warmed my heart whenever I heard it!
I had to buy it for him as soon as we got home. He’s got almost all of the parts down.
There is nothing like kids’ laughter!
I wish I could hear Nick squeal.. I bet I would laugh along with him.
You can’t help but laugh with him :-).
